🌱 Our Teaching Approach

Every workshop is carefully planned around a specific theme and language goal. Rather than introducing random words, children explore vocabulary that naturally belongs togetherβ€”such as colours, animals, food or the seasons. Learning words within a meaningful context helps children understand, remember and use new language more confidently.

Each lesson combines games, movement, songs, stories and creative activities that reinforce the same vocabulary in different ways. By hearing, seeing, moving and using new words throughout the workshop, children build stronger connections and develop lasting language skills while having fun.

Every workshop follows a carefully planned structure designed to keep children engaged while maximising their exposure to English.

🌱 How Children Learn at English Sprouts

1. Discover

Children are introduced to new vocabulary through a fun seasonal or everyday theme, making new words meaningful and easy to relate to.

2. Explore

Games, songs, stories and movement encourage children to hear, see and use the new language in different ways throughout the lesson.

3. Practice

Children are gently encouraged to speak English in a supportive environment, building confidence one step at a time.

4. Remember

By revisiting the same vocabulary through different activities, children create stronger memories and are more likely to use English naturally in the future.

5. Continue at Home

Every workshop includes a creative craft connected to the lesson’s theme. When children proudly take their artwork home, it becomes more than just a souvenir. It reminds them of the English they learned in class.

Displaying the craft at home often sparks conversations with family members, giving children another opportunity to recall and use their new vocabulary throughout the week. In this way, English becomes part of everyday family life, not just something children experience for one hour each week.

Sprout Tip 🌱
When your child brings their craft home, ask them to teach you three new English words they learned. Children often remember vocabulary better when they become the teacher!
